Why did you join Health Partners?

I had been working in the same dental practice for 20 years and was looking for an opportunity to further my career.

What team do you work in and what is your current role?

I am the Dental Service Manager at Modbury Dental.

What inspires you to do things The Right Way?

Professionally I am inspired by the team to do things the right way. As a manager I always try and lead by example to get the best out of my team.

What do you enjoy the most about working at Health Partners?

I been able to develop my leadership and management skills and gain experience working with other departments in the business. I also work with a fantastic team of dental professionals and support staff.

What’s one thing you enjoy outside of Health Partners?

I enjoy spending time with my family at our river get away. I live in the Adelaide hills close to the Barossa Valley and enjoying spending weekend exploding our local walking trails and wineries.

Why did you join Health Partners?

I joined Health Partners in 2016 after previously working at a big four professional services. I had a strong relationship with the Finance Manager and CFO and I decided to take up an offer to work at Health Partners.

What team do you work in and what is your current role?

I currently work in the Finance team as the Group Accounting Manager.

What inspires you to do things The Right Way?

Integrity in financial reporting and analysis is extremely important as this information assists in making critical business decisions. This is especially important at Health Partners, being a not-for-profit, as we strive to maximise the benefits to our members while remaining sustainable in the long-term.

What do you enjoy the most about working at Health Partners?

The people. I am very fortunate to work with a group of highly motivated, intelligent and supportive people.

What’s one thing you enjoy outside of Health Partners?

Footy. I love watching my beloved Port Adelaide play at Adelaide Oval.

Fotini | Optical

Why did you join Health Partners?

I was deciding on a study path afdter high school, and an opportunity arose for me to do a traineeship as an Optical Dispenser. I already had a background in pharmacy, but I wanted to do something further in health care. With Optical Dispensing you can help people with their needs as well as having a fun element with fashion!

What team do you work in and what is your current role?

I have held various roles within the Optical business and I am currently the Merchandise Manager. I’m responsible for making sure we have the right product in our stores, at the right time and the right price.

What inspires you to do things The Right Way?

I’ve had the opportunity to learn from some incredible people at Health Partners and I’ve had some great mentors during my career who have helped to develop the skills that I now have. My co-workers and leaders that I work with and leaders in other departments, all have a commitment and strong belief in doing things right for both our members and our staff and I have this same committment. It’s only natural that we do things the right way.

What do you enjoy the most about working at Health Partners?

If you haven’t been to visit one of our optical stores yet, I highly recommend it because one have one of the largest ranges of frames and sunglasses to offer in Adelaide. One of the best parts of my job is that I get to try on a lot of these frames and sunglasses to make sure we have the best selections available in store!

What’s one thing you enjoy outside of Health Partners?

I love exploring the outdoors. We are very fortunate in South Australia to have so many hidden gems on our doorstep in the hills, the beaches, and wine regions.
