Look after your eyes

Not only can an optometrist let you know if you need glasses, but they can also detect undiagnosed health conditions before other symptoms emerge, just by looking at your eyes. We recommend having an eye test every two years if you’re under 65 years old, and every year if you’re over 65. You can access 30 minute bulk billed^ eye tests which means there’s nothing for you to pay on the day for eligible Medicare card holders. To help protect your eyes, Health Partners members can take advantage of 30% off non-prescription sunglasses every day at Health Partners Optical, and as an Extras member you’ll get an unlimited 40% back on prescription eyewear after you’ve used your optical limits at Health Partners Optical.

General and major dental

Not feeling pain, sensitivity or discomfort in your mouth doesn’t mean you should skip out on your regular dental check-up. At Health Partners Dental, members on selected Extras cover can get 100% back on a dental check-up and clean at least once a year, ask us if you’d like to find out more. Plus, as a Health Partners member you can access 20% off oral health products at Health Partners Dental all year round including take home teeth whitening kits.

You’ll also pay less for major dental procedures like root canal, complex fillings, crowns, dentures and sleep apnoea care at Health Partners Dental or a recognised provider. Call Health Partners for more information.

20% off everyday items and prescriptions from $20 at participating pharmacies

As a Health Partners Extras member, you get an unlimited 20% off at our participating pharmacies on the full price of most non-prescription everyday items*. This means you’ll pay less for items like cosmetics, vitamins, giftware, skincare and over the counter medicines, just by showing your Health Partners membership card. Some exclusions apply.

Physiotherapy

There are a number of reasons why people choose to see a physio including help with balance problems, injuries, chronic pain and even cardiorespiratory problems. Members on selected Extras cover get 100% back on a physiotherapy visit per year, and your physiotherapy benefits go further at over 55 participating physios across South Australia.

Wellness therapies

Wellness therapies like acupuncture and remedial massage can help to relieve pain and are covered under most Extras covers, meaning you’ll pay less for these services. You may even be able to claim services like remedial massage at well-known day spas like Endota Spa. Ask for a quote when booking.

Podiatry

Don't neglect your feet! If you experience any foot pain, have an excessive amount of hard skin or are noticing unusual wear patterns on your shoes, a podiatry check-up may be a good idea. Extras members with podiatry on their cover may be able to claim benefits at salons like MediPedi whose 30 minute podiatry treatment and assessment includes a relaxing foot soak and foot lotion massage.

Gym and fitness

If your health professional has recommended a gym or fitness program and it’s deemed medically necessary, you may be able to claim this on your Extras cover. If you’re not eligible to claim, you can still access great discounts and offers for a range of gym and fitness programs through your Member Discounts.
