On these pages you can learn more about the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, and where to get more information, resources and support.

Mental Health conditions

Most of us will experience a mental health problem at some time in our lives1, with 1 in 5 Australians experiencing a mental health condition in any given year (in fact, the Coronavirus Pandemic and changes to our routine have been a challenge for many).

Mental illness refers to a group of illnesses which can affect the way we feel, think, behave and interact with others. This can include depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar mood disorder, personality disorders and eating disorders. Anxiety and depressive disorders are the most common, with 1 in 6 Australians currently experiencing depression or anxiety or both.2
