How long have you been at Health Partners?

I have been at Health Partners for 5 Years on the 6th of January 2025.

Why did you join Health Partners?

It kind of just happened. I took a Gap year after I finished school and had no idea what I wanted to do with my career. I spent many hours on seek looking for jobs that may interest me as I’m a hands-on learner and a Dental Assisting Traineeship came up. I thought why not give that a shot and applied for it…didn’t expect to get the job but here we are!

What team do you work in and what’s your current role?

I work in the Modbury Dental Team as the Practice Coordinator.

Health Partners is made up of different sides. We have different teams, projects and specialties. Which side do you appreciate the most?

I think the side of Health Partners I appreciate the most is how supportive my network of people around me are. The Dental team across all locations (especially Modbury ) is like a big family. I love getting to work with such skilled and knowledgeable people who make coming to work enjoyable.

We’re for all sides of SA – what’s your go-to SA recommendation?

My go-to SA recommendation is definitely a trip to Kangaroo Island. Some really good fishing and some nice camping spots.

My go-to place to eat is Hanamura Sushi which is located across the road from Modbury Health Partners.

Why did you join Health Partners?

I already had a background working in private health insurance and I have a passion for the industry and a drive to ensure our members understand their insurance and the way it works - private health insurance can seem quite daunting. I believe in the Health Partners products and what we have to offer, as well as appreciate that Health Partners is a not-for-profit fund.

What team do you work in and what is your current role?

I currently work as a Team Leader in Private Health Insurance which is responsible for incoming existing member enquiries across all channels; such as phones, webchat, emails and face-to-face interactions.

What inspires you to do things The Right Way?

Doing things The Right Way is my natural approach to any work that I do, as well as ensures our members have the easiest and most seamless communication with us regarding their health insurance. By doing things The Right Way across all parts of my job role ensures that not only are our members happy with what to do, but that my staff too are imitating this motivation which ultimately is filtered through to the members that they interact with. One of my favourite quotes to live by comes from Mr Richard Branson, Founder of the Virgin Group, “Take care of your employees and they’ll take care of your business”. By doing so, not only am I doing things The Right Way, but so are all of our people.

What do you enjoy the most about working with Health Partners?

I enjoy the flexibility that Health Partners provide, especially during the COVID19 pandemic with the ability to work from home. We have some great staff and exceptionally talented people working here, which always provides you with the opportunity to learn something new every day. Health Partners provides opportunities to venture into other areas of the business. But mostly, I enjoy that all of our people have the members’ best interest at heart and approach our work conscionably and honourably.

What’s one thing you enjoy outside of Health Partners?

I enjoy playing music and singing and spending most of my spare time with my two sausage dogs.
