How long have you worked at Health Partners?

As an optometrist, I have worked at Health Partners for almost 6 years. However, I did used to work at Health Partners in Member Care and the Dental Service Centre while I was studying at university so that would take my total time at Health Partners to almost 13 years.

What makes working here special?

For me, it's the member-first culture. I am given the time, technology and support to deliver thorough patient centred eye-care. At King William Road, I consider myself pretty lucky as we are only an Optical store so we have a pretty close-knit team. The team is great and they go above and beyond when helping our members.

What does ‘Act with Integrity’ mean for you in your role?

It means putting our members eye-health first. I strive to be open and honest about findings, recommending only what is genuinely needed and ensuring that every person leaves feeling informed, respected and confident in the eye care they receive.

Where’s the best place to get lunch at work?

I almost always bring my lunch to work. When I do treat myself, my go to is probably Fish Out Of Water on King William Road, Goodwood. They are close by, quick, reliable and have a pretty tasty menu! A pie from the Hyde Park Bakery is also a nice option.

One of my favourite spots is the beach down at Normanville! I don’t get there very often but I always love it when I do.

I've worked at health partners for 4 years.

What makes working here special?

I think having good connections with practitioners and other DA’s makes coming to work a lot better, as well as having support staff.

To me it means fairness, speaking up or courage to speak up when needed. Owning your own mistakes.

Where’s the best place to get lunch at work?

We're lucky to have Tea Tree Plaza across the road with lots of variety and options, but I generally bring my own lunch to work.
