Supporting our community by giving back

As a not-for-profit health fund we’re all about giving back to our members, as well as supporting our community.

We are committed to making a positive and sustainable difference for our members, our people and our local community.

Our Approach

  • We work alongside South Australian community groups and organisations to deliver meaningful and sustainable programs that address the health concerns of thousands of South Australians.
  • We support our partners through funding and staff volunteering.

Making a Difference

School Yard Hunger

We have partnered with KickStart for Kids and Foodbank who collectively have been working to address schoolyard hunger for over 34 years.

The basic need for food is a foundational health requirement, which sadly is not met for 1.3 million children going hungry in Australia, living in severely food insecure households according to Foodbank's Hunger Report 2022. Our partnership will provider over 150,000 breakfasts to children who would otherwise have gone hungry.

Quotation Marks

"Eating breakfast has an immediate effect giving students consistent nourishment that has an impact on their everyday lives and school performance. Without the support of the program and wonderful volunteers this would not be possible."

Jody Macri
Junior School Counsellor, Ocean View College

"Breakfast has an enormous effect on our students as they go into class feeling contented and ready to start the day. We have no doubt that breakfast improves their ability to concentrate, stay on task and get along with others."

Chris Elliot
School Counsellor, Hendon Primary School

KickStart for Kids

This is a South Australian not-for-profit organisation which provides over 50,000 breakfasts per week to school children across 350 schools in South Australia. To thank new members for joining, an additional $25 donation will be made to KickStart for Kids’ Breakfast Club which provides over 50,000 breakfasts ever week at over 350 schools across the state.

If you would like to personally make a donation or volunteer, visit the KickStart for Kids or Foodbank website.
