Community impact in SA.
We’re creating a better state of health for our members and the community we call home.
We’re on a mission to create a better state of health for our members and the wider SA community.
Research from the World Health Organisation shows that the social conditions we live in often shape our long-term health more than individual lifestyle choices. These social conditions are called the Social Determinants of Health.
Things like access to education, safe housing and basic amenities, affordable healthcare, social connection, food security and a healthy environment all have a major impact on our future wellbeing.
That’s why every community partner we support is focused on an area that gives South Aussies the best chance at great health in the long run.
As your health partner, we know it takes two. We work with passionate locals dedicated to making our communities healthier.
Foodbank is South Australia’s largest provider of food relief, sourcing food and getting it to people who need it most.
Our staff roll up their sleeves to volunteer in their warehouse, and we also help Foodbank deliver fresh local fruit and veg to schools across the state, so students don’t start the school day on an empty stomach.
Treasure Boxes provide essential support to South Aussie women, children and families doing it tough.
When people can’t access basic healthcare or everyday toiletries, their routines are disrupted and their health can decline as a result. We proudly support the Treasure Boxes toiletry pack program to ensure families receive everyday essentials to maintain healthy habits.
KickStart for Kids is fighting food poverty in SA. They provide over 50,000 breakfasts each week to children across 350 schools.
Every Monday, rain or shine, our people volunteer at Parafield Gardens Primary School to run the Breakfast Club, making sure students start their day with a healthy meal.
No one knows how to support a community better than those in it. Local community groups and small organisations are at the heart of real connection and change here in SA, but they’re often volunteer-led and under-funded.
That’s why we created a grant for grassroots groups making a difference to health outcomes in their own backyard.
Your health partner
From our volunteering to donation drives, our people love to show up and give back.
Being part of the Health Partners team is pretty special. We’ve supported the health journeys of our members for over 85 years, and our local team are here to support the community we call home too.
One of the ways we support our staff to connect to community is through volunteer leave and opportunities to support our community impact partners.
2026 Major Partner
Our partnership with Adelaide Fringe focuses on making the festival more accessible, inclusive and community driven.
Fringe is exciting but can be sensory-rich and overstimulating for some. In 2026, we supplied 500 free sensory bags to make the festival more comfortable for festival goers who needed it.
As a Giving Day partner, our support helped people in need get amongst Fringe with free tickets because laughter really can be the best medicine.
Beyond Barriers Para Pathway Program
The Beyond Barriers Para Pathway Program is completely free, inclusive athletics initiative to ensure that children of all abilities can participate, belong and succeed.
We’re so proud to support the program that provides children and teenagers with a physical, intellectual or hidden disability, an entry point to sport in a safe and welcoming space.
Sensory support for Gawler
We’re excited to support Novita Services with a dedicated sensory space at their Gawler Hub. Designed to offer a safe, calming environment for people with diverse sensory needs, including autism, ADHD, trauma or anxiety.
Personalised sensory tools help people of all ages engage in community life without barriers, fostering dignity, belonging, and inclusion.
Whether it’s our official community impact partners, our Heaps Good Grant or supporting initiatives across the year, we’re proud to partner with a roster of passionate teams to support great health in SA.
