Our CEO, Byron Gregory, prepares to pass the baton to Jon Goodgame

After 19 years at the helm, Health Partners Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Byron Gregory will retire on 30 June 2023. Following an extensive search, Jon Goodgame has been appointed as Health Partners’ new CEO and has been working alongside Byron since late March to ensure a smooth handover.

Byron leaves a significant legacy at Health Partners including growing the fund to support over 90,000 members, steering the move to our current head office at 101 Pirie Street and leading the expansion of our services at Modbury, Morphett Vale and, more recently Flinders Park. Byron has also been a strong advocate for members and the sector nationally during this time as both Director of Private Health Care Australia and the Australian Health Service Alliance.

“It has been an absolute privilege to lead Health Partners over the last 19 years”, he says.

“We’re a member-owned, not-for-profit fund but we’ve always punched above our weight in terms of the service and support we offer members. It’s reassuring to be handing over to Jon who I know shares my commitment to delivering great outcomes for our members. Health Partners is in safe hands.”

Jon joined Health Partners from his previous role as Deputy CEO at Westfund, a NSW-based not-for-profit health fund. He has a strong focus on delivering great member experiences and brings a wealth of expertise from the health insurance and finance sectors to the role. Jon is in the process of moving his young family to Adelaide and has been spending the last couple of weeks meeting staff, and members, across our five sites.

“It’s a really exciting time to join Health Partners”, says Jon.

“A lot of good work has been undertaken and there is huge potential to continue to evolve our services in the future. I look forward to working with staff, and our members, to do this”.

Jon officially starts in the CEO role on 1 July 2023.
