As a local not-for-profit health insurer, we’ve had our members backs (and eyes, and teeth) for over 85 years. With over 95,000 members, that’s a lot of funny bones to look after. We know good health and wellbeing looks different for everyone, so we teamed up with the Adelaide Fringe as the Major Partner to ensure more South Aussies get out during the Fringe and connect with one another for a laugh.
As part of our partnership, we’re helping expand social inclusion and accessibility across the festival by offering sensory backpacks for those who need them, as well as supporting the Adelaide Fringe Foundation, sponsoring the Best Community Event Award, ensuring everyone can experience the magic of the Adelaide Fringe.
When we make space to connect and laugh, we create a healthier foundation for coping with stress, deepening social bonds, and improving our quality of life. Whether it’s a spontaneous giggle or a full belly laugh, every bit counts. But what’s the actual science behind it? We dug deep.
We’ve had our members’ backs (and eyes, and teeth) for more than 85 years – long enough to know that everyone’s needs are a little different.
To help with sensory regulation this Fringe, we’re proud to support sensory backpacks that provide a sense of control over your environment. The Fringe is exciting, but can be sensory-rich and overstimulating for some so each pack includes earplugs, sunglasses, fidget toys, tactile gel packs and sunscreen so you can navigate the festival comfortably.
Pick up your pack from the Adelaide Fringe Box Office. If you're able, a donation to the Adelaide Fringe Foundation is appreciated.
Did you know social connection plays a big part in our long-term health outcomes? That’s why this Fringe, we’re proud to get behind Arts Unlimited on their annual Giving Day.
This support helps open the door for children, teenagers and young families impacted by health issues, communities facing disadvantage, and low-socioeconomic and remote schools who would otherwise miss out on the power of Fringe. These help break down barriers and ensure South Aussies – no matter their circumstance – can come together at Fringe and connect.
