Having regular eye tests is important for everyone, young and old. We recommend having an eye test every two years if you’re under 65 years old, and every year if you’re over 65. But if you notice any changes in your vision, no matter how small, you should see one of our optometrists as soon as possible.
Even if you have perfect vision you should still get your eyes tested regularly, especially if you have a history of eye disease in your family.
If you’re experiencing any of the following you should book an eye test as soon as possible:
- Can’t see clearly when looking into the distance, such as driving or watching television
- Have difficulty reading
- Get headaches when reading or working on a computer
- Experience any eye pain or discomfort
- Experience any vision problems when wearing your existing glasses.
