If you have a loved one in aged care, you may find that being up-to-date on your flu shot is a requirement to visit.
At the time of your vaccination, request a verification card from your pharmacy as a proof of vaccine.
Please note children under 10 years aren’t eligible, as pharmacists aren’t permitted to administer vaccinations to children. We recommend consulting with your GP.
There are different types of flu vaccines. If you’re 65 years and over, pharmacists and Health Partners recommend you consult with your GP first about which flu vaccine is best for you. 65-year-olds and over are eligible for a free flu vaccine under the Australian National Immunisation Program, delivered by your GP.
If you have any concerns about the flu vaccine and COVID, consult with your GP.
