The Federal Government 30% Rebate on private health insurance is available on all health cover contributions to every Australian entitled to Medicare. This includes both Hospital and Extras. Members under the age of 65 receive a 30% rebate.
Members aged 65-69 received a 35% rebate increasing to 40% for members aged 70 and over. You can get a quote for a listing of these contributions.
You can automatically receive the rebate through reduced contributions by selecting 'Yes' on the Health Partners application form. Alternatively, you can receive the rebate when you lodge your tax return or as a cash payment at any Medicare office.
