Health Partners is proud to be a major sponsor of the new annual fundraising initiative for heart disease and cancer – go the distance.
go the distance is a joint partnership between four of South Australia’s most credible and hard working charities:
- Leukemia Foundation Australia
- ·Heart Foundation
- The Flinders Medical Centre Foundation
- Little Heroes Foundation
The aim of the event is to raise money and awareness of heart disease and cancer. The funds raised will help the four charities undertake much needed research into better prevention, treatments and cures. Along with this it will also encourage physical activity in the community, which is known to help prevent these terrible diseases. Participants can choose to ‘go the distance’ in one of six events:
- 7km walk
- 7km run
- 21.1km run (half marathon)
- 30km ride
- 50km ride
- 107km ride
The event this year will be held on Sunday, 28 October.
