Health Partners has starred in the annual Canstar Cannex Private Health Insurance Awards, taking out the top rating in SA for outstanding value in hospital cover.
Health Partners, the largest SA-owned health fund, has a membership of more than 35,000 and provides hospital and general treatment cover (extras cover) for about 72,000 people.
The Chief Executive of Health Partners, Mr Byron Gregory, said Health Partners offered hospital products tailored to meet the special needs of singles, couples, families and sole parent families in three categories – Bronze, Silver and Gold.

The release of figures from Canstar Cannex is its second annual comparison of all private health insurance products. The stars ratings help decipher what is offered by health funds.
To find the fund that offers outstanding value private health insurance, Canstar Cannex reviewed and rated quotes from health insurance products. Three categories were examined – hospital cover, extras cover and combined hospital and extras packages.
Each product was performance measured against eight commonly-identified profiles that cover young singles, young families or couples, established families, young single parents, mature singles and mature couples.
Health Partners is not-for-profit, allowing it to return greater benefits to members.
Its range of services include the largest private dental practice in SA, two optical centres, the largest pharmacy scheme in SA and an extensive physiotherapy network across the State.
