On October 1 1937, our organisation officially opened up for business as the South Australian Public Service Association Hospital Fund. Our core business was to provide Hospital Cover to members of the South Australian Public Service Association and their families.
Almost seventy five years on, we have never been in better shape – as the largest South Australian-based health fund, we have membership now totalling over 38,000, covering more than 75,000 people.
Over seventy years in the business has taught us quite a few things: health care shouldn’t be complicated, personal service should be exactly that, and a health fund works better when it’s a true partnership of members and specially selected health professionals.
Now with the largest private dental service and pharmacy scheme in the state, Health Partners boasts four dental centres plus two optical centres, over 45 participating pharmacies and over 35 affiliated physio partners.
